When I got my first “real” job, I ran out and bought a Nikon D50 digital SLR camera. I used it a lot at first, but as time went on, it collected more and more dust. I’m sad to say that I’ve even taken it on trips where it never left my bag.
This weekend, I finally traded in my D50 on a Lumix GX1 and tried to get some practice in with it before my upcoming trip. It was a lot of fun and super happy with the purchase.
I did some intervals tonight and topped out there. I can’t even imagine running a lot faster, but not that long ago I couldn’t run a
5k either. My far off goal for a single mile is still
6:10. I came up with that as a joke when I took a picture of a sign saying Clearance 6’10” and it stuck.
Ran the Hawthorne/Sellwood bridge loop yesterday morning. Felt great, I’ll definitely do it again. Kept trying to slow myself down in the beginning for fear of wearing out too soon and then had spare energy at the end. Averaged

Found out about this when my lease expired. It’s not on the same floor as the treadmills or I might have stumbled on it sometime :)
Went pretty well, knee still pain free. I’m really bad about keeping up with my foam rolling though.
I listen to Girl Talk frequently when I run and I was thinking tonight that I like how Feed the Animals begins and ends with the same sample but I never realized it until I started running long enough to hear the whole thing.
